As a business owner, do I need a new website? Boise SEO company describes why a business may or may not need a new mobile site or a mobile landing page for their business.
Most businesses have put time and money into a website in an effort to showcase their business or services. And several years ago their website may have been relevant with the content and format that it was originally built. It may have had a large fancy flash image embedded on the home page that looked great. However we know now that Google does not crawl flash images and search them for key words. So if the main thrust of their website was flash and all of the description of their business was in that flash, that business could be in for a hard time trying to optimize their site for searches. We also know from recent history, especially regarding the “Farmers Update” at the beginning of 2011, that Google and the other search engines actively change and update their algorithms so as to keep their content relevant for the user. One of the most “relevant” subjects right now for users are operations done on mobile platforms. Google is very aware of this and is starting to give weight to sites that have a mobile landing page. In other words, they’re changing their search rules to include mobile. Websites also need to be friendly to the robots that crawl websites looking for search content. That means structure of the site is important as well as content being properly placed and making sure that all the social media connections are being utilized on that site. So in short, we personally update our site on a regular basis so we can keep up with the changes in the way our content is being used or displayed by Google, Yahoo and Bing. And that includes making sure our information is ready for mobile users. A business would certainly have an advantage over their competitors by creating a new site keeping the current user in mind. Even if it only makes getting information easier, a happy customer is a returning customer.
